Cape Town, also affectionately known as "Mother City" is the first stop of your trip. Here you can enjoy a mix of lively metropolis and natural spectacle, a meeting of people of all races and colours, a long history and modern infrastructure. From Cape Town we head west to the famous wine-growing region of the Cape, to Stellenbosch. This historic city offers the typical local style called "Cape Dutch" and excellent wines. A short drive from the Cape Winelands takes you to the West Coast National Park and the Langebaan Lagoon.
From Springbok you head north to the fertile valley of the Orange River and to the border of Namibia. From here on, the landscape turns into a dry stone desert which lets you imagine the vastness of Namibia. From Lüderitz you drive back to Aus and here you leave the paved roads behind you for the next days because only the typical Namibian gravel roads take you into the vastness of the Namib Desert. Your desert adventure is slowly coming to an end and the well-developed B2 (main road) takes you to Windhoek, Namibia's capital.
