South Africa Drakensberg Midlands Slides
The uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park is a World Heritage Site in Southern Africa, covering 242,813 ha of area. The park spans parts of both South Africa and Lesotho. Most of this mountain range is located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and is known as Drakensberg (Dragon Mountains) or uKhahlamba (the barrier of spears).
The Drakensberg Mountains are a must-see for the active traveller. The variety of activities ranges from mountain biking and climbing to horse riding. Thousands of marked trails wind through the mountains. For the cyclist this challenging terrain promises much fun and for anglers the well-stocked lakes are popular for trout fishing.
