The Namib-Naukluft Park is not only Namibia's largest nature reserve but also the fourth largest in the world. Its unusual landscape stretches from impressive mountain ranges, magnificent gorges and deserts with the highest sand dunes in the world to lagoons which are home to pelicans and flamingos.

If you like breathtaking landscapes, a unique atmosphere and the extraordinary, there is hardly anything comparable to the Namib Desert. Its colours and moods change hourly with the course of the sun creating unforgettable impressions. Northwest of Maltahöhe, on the road to Swakopmund, lies the Naukluft, an area characterized by impressive mountains and the eastern foothills of the Namib Desert as well as the home of endangered mountain zebras and other wildlife.
